Those Who Matter, Don't Mind

"I still fall on my face sometimes, can't color inside the lines;
perfectly incomplete, still working on my masterpiece."

"I wanna hang with the greats;
gotta way to go,
but it's worth the wait."
(Masterpiece, Jessie J)

Rules are made to be followed because they offer you protection.
Rules are made from a place of love,
so it is with our Father's love.
However, the juxtaposition:
Coloring inside of the lines doesn't make you stand out from a crowd.

How then, as Christians' can we color outside the lines

to "hang with the greats",

whether this be hanging out in person
or someday having your face hanging next to them on a commemorative wall?
It truly has to do with walking inside the perimeters of what God established for us:

“Enter through the narrow gate.

For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction,
and many enter through it.

But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life,
and only a few find it."
(Matthew 7:13-14)

Truly, if you do your best to live a godly life you will be turning the tide on society itself;
establish a new way to live in the midst of worldly commonality and you'll stand out for being different.
Different is where true beauty is found.

"I don't really care if they label me a Jesus Freak."
(Jesus Freak, DC Talk)
"Those who matter, don't mind."
