Distilled Down, It's All Very Simple Really
Sleep is important.
It gives rest to our bones;
but, most importantly perhaps,
our psyches.
As a home-schooling parent
I'm able to shield my kids from much.
Which, in part, is why we choose to do it.
But,
as "Mom",
I'm shielded from nothing.
After another school shooting,
and all the political rhetoric ensuing,
my mind
needs rest.
We can rest assured
Jesus Christ came to save us;
handing our burdens to The One who carries them
we drop to our knees with ease and pray.
Our troubles are many,
but even when stuck in the mire and clay
hope lays on the horizon.
Each day it draws nearer still.
The dove of peace
will manifest Himself once more;
This ever present hope,
within these days of trumped up danger;
we see it for what it is:
Labor pains filled with Revelation.
Don't be anxious about tomorrow.
Cast all your cares on Him.
We live without fear of the future.
We know how the story ends.
Be led by the Spirit.
Comfort those who need comforting
Stop yourself from getting caught up in worldly conjecture and theory.
Allow our tenets to speak for themselves,
those of religious freedoms
and
earthly man:
One nation,
under God,
Indivisible;
