When time grows short,
and you realize an end is near,
don't be filled with fear;
And, death?
It's but a moment.
Why fear death?
When life, after death, so much better than life lived on earth?
Why so much sadness associated with "never again"?
What once was doesn't compare to what is to come.
With the time you have left
When time grows short,
throw off all that hinders;
let go of regrets, bitterness, angst, and hate.
Say all words left unsaid,
invest in family and friendships;
spend your time wisely
doing things you enjoy!
Yet,
weigh the "you" against those who will be left behind.
You'll have adventures in heavenly places;
but. its the words you speak,
gifts of lasting importance,
that will be the encouragement
and support,
you leave behind, for your family to move forward
without you.
Have no fear
the Lord is near!
In the heavenly's are reunions waiting for you to join within;
fun and cheer,
no tears, no sorrow,
only joy!
Unencumbered by an earthly body that fails
your best self awaits to be received and reclaimed!
Your most handsome and beautiful,
talents unleashed,
When time grows short;
well, it's cliche,
time is short for all of us they say.
Do your best to stay away from the drama.
Set yourself apart from all that entangles and distracts.
Seek out the good and pursue it!
Make the lives of others happy and bright
and ease burdens as you can.
There doesn't have to be sadness when your life comes to an end.
Your ending can be better than any of your beginnings have ever been!
Set up the lives of those you know and love, to prosper and grow;
to move forward on roads you've helped open before them.
You can do this through kind words and gestures,
through monetary gifts of gain and pleasure,
through thought-filled giving that serves up direction;
words of wisdom, written down or spoken,
records for future generations.
Life that remains on earth
while a better life begins in heaven;
that's the best example of being in two places at once
one could ever hope to live!
Do not be anxious,
do not worry,
Rather, do what you can,
as you're able,
with the time you have left to give.
When time is short
life is often its most brilliant;
let your brilliance shine!
In Jesus' Name,
Amen.
