Just One Touch
Dear Lord,
Help the people who connect with me
to also connect with you.
May the hand they touch be Your hand;
A touch that transforms,
A touch that heals,
A touch that turns others in new directions;
A balm to the soul,
Physical healing,
We are to do more than You while here on earth;
Therefore, nothing You did is outside the realm of possibility.
May those that reach out to shake my hand,
Those that reach out to hold my hand in prayer,
Those who embrace me;
May Your healing emanate from me.
May all who encounter me, encounter You.
May all who leave my presence be better for having been in it.
Not so people seek me out,
but so they seek You.
Not so people elevate me,
but so You are elevated;
The name of Jesus Christ lifted high!
May we all pray these words, and fully believe,
trusting as a child;
"Very truly I tell you,
whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing,
and they will do even greater things than these,
because I am going to the Father"
(John 14:12).
May we all fully embody You;
May we all fully believe:
"One touch is enough".
We are Your vessels;
fill us,
use us,
may Your name be praised.
