No Longer Ignorant

I am able to meet people where they are at.
I am a sinner too.
I am able to love the person, yet hate the sin.
I am inclusive.
But, I will not water down the Bible for you.
I will not pick and choose verses to fit your beliefs.
I will not say, "That was then, and this is now."
I will not say, "God said that, but He didn't mean what He said."
As Andrew Schroer, a Lutheran Pastor, writer and blogger, at 364 Days of Thanksgiving, writes:
"The Bible isn’t a buffet. It’s not our word. It’s God’s Word. We have no right to change it."
Andrew concludes with this:
"In the very last words of the Bible, John cautions us,
'I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book:
If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book.
And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy,
God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and the holy city which are described in this book'
(Revelation 22:18,19)."
Once you have read something you can no longer claim ignorance of the topic.
The Bible is clearly written.
You cannot water-down Christianity.
You cannot preach a prosperity gospel only.
You cannot pick and choose what you believe to be true based upon how it makes you feel.
We are to have a healthy fear of God.
We are to stand in awe of Him.
We are to revere him;
Reverence, just as much as revelry, in His love.
I urge you to take a few minutes of time to read through Pastor Andrew's words on-line:

"Salad Bar Christianity is dangerous" and I don't wish for you to be left behind,
eating lettuce,
wasting away,
when you were destined for far more than a salad buffet!
